To enable and promote acceptance of individuals with mental and developmental disabilities throughout the community in selection of work, residence, recreation and all other activities of community life.
To advocate and plan for a continuum of residential options to meet long-term needs of individuals as well as short-term respite needs of families.
To provide a work environment and resource necessary to attract and maintain qualified staff, enable opportunity for professional development and foster their sense of ownership of and responsibility for the success of programs and services offered by the Board.
To utilize a comprehensive management system, which establishes responsibility, grants authority and ensures accountability for effective resource management.
To maintain a safe and healthy environment in which to conduct programs and services and to advocate for safe, healthy and affordable housing for consumers who select their own places of residence within the community.
To communicate effectively and proactively with all constituents, enrollees, parents and families, staff, other service providers and the community in general.
To enhance community awareness and understanding of the programs.
To plan, implement and evaluate quality of services and programs focusing on the needs of individuals as they identify those needs in the process.
To work with the Auglaize ARC and other groups to promote individuals and families to advocate in their own behalf.
